Medi-spas, facilities that offer a wide range of cosmetic procedures including laser hair-removal, chemical peels & cosmetic injections, are emerging at a very fast rate throughout the United States. While the majority of Medi-spas offer safe, physician supervised treatments, there are many that do not.
Interestingly enough there are no national standards for medi-spas, no definition of what constitutes a medi-spa and no organizations that regulate these facilities.
As advocates for patient safety, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons have created a check- list for patients. Both Dr. Danyo and Dr. Banbury are pleased to be able to provide you with a safe medi- spa experience and wholeheartedly support the ASPS guidelines.
